This program provides reproductive health care to women of child-bearing age at one satellite and two sub-contract locations. There is no income limit and sliding fees are charged based upon family income and size.
A portion of EMAA’s Family Planning funding comes from Title X Family Planning grants. The bulk of the funding for the program, however, is generated by patient fees and Medicaid.
The Family Planning Program also offers the Show Me Healthy Women and Wise Women Programs through funding from the Federal Center for Disease Control. This program provides free breast exams, pap smears and physical exams for women who have incomes under 200% of Federal poverty guidelines.
The Show Me Healthy Women Program and Cardiovascular Heart Disease Program also helps defray the cost of colposcopy exams and biopsies for abnormal Pap smear follow-up and for women 35 to 64, mammograms.
